How to read a recipe like a pro!

First things first.  Now that you are familiar with what is in the kitchen, you have to know HOW to read a recipe.  Reading a recipe is like me reading a highschool football play book.  Sure I know the basic rules, but I don't know the signs, plays, or language used by the players.  If I were to read a play book it would be completely foreign to me.  So how can I learn to read a play book?  I have to lean the terms, abbreviations and how a play book is set up.

Use the follwing links to read a little bit about how to read a recipe then give me your thoughts about what you already knew and what you learned.
